The Lexmark S 2455 And Its Captious Lexmark S 2455 Toner
The Lexmark s 2455 can print up to speeds of 24 PPM. The 2455 is a monochrome laser printer with built in workgroup function. This is a considerably cheap printer especially when you compare it with other laser printers on the market. The printer uses Lexmark S 2455 toner and has a maximum resolution of 1200 dot per inch which is great for most printing jobs around the office.
The Lexmark s 2455 has been designed for the bustling home office or office where having a nicely paced printer is necessary. With its 24 pages per minute speed you can be sure that you won't have prints lined up in the queue. The printer's workgroup features makes it easy for you to include it into your existing workgroup. The Lexmark's is not big and bulky making it difficult to move, and one of the good things about this printer is you don't have to have a few guys help you move it around unlike other printers within this category.
This printer is not large and it's certainly not difficult to move within your office. This is good because other printers are so large that you will probably need a few guys to more it around, it can easily fit into small offices and home offices.
We went ahead and tested the printer with a few test pages. The text on this printer looked great. Our mixed tests were also good except for a few gray areas around the pages. The text performed great when it came to printing out office clipart, except for a few artifacts. At the tinniest font size the printer still gave us crisp and sharp text.
The smallest font also looked crisp.We tested the printer at 1200 dpi resolutions and except for a few seconds delay it worked fine. At 1200 dpi the prints including pictures look good. However the printer was having a problem with a few fonts because they look a bit rubbed. This is something you might face with all printers so don't worry about it. At 1200 dpi the printer did its job at a stunning 14 seconds. This is very good for a printer of its class.
The printer comes along with three paper trays i.e. a 250, and two 500 sheet trays. You can also add an optional 2000 sheet tray if you feel the need to do so. The output tray of this printer has a 500 sheet capacity and a sensor will alert you when the tray is full.
The LCD display is very useful for instructions and to view the status of the printer. It especially comes in handy when you are trying to troubleshoot the printer. However under a bring light such as those used in offices I wasn't able to read the display very clearly. The collaged prints are output from the front of the printer. Be sure to only use Lexmark S 2455 toner with this product.
