Zlob, otherwise known as the Zlob Trojan or Trojan.Zlob, disguises itself as a necessary video codec. It was first released in 2005 but didn’t become a big nuisance until 2006. After it’s installed on your pc it displays poups that look like a real Microsoft Windows warnings popup telling the user that their pc is infected with spyware. When the user clicks on the the popup a rogue antispyware program (like Virus Heat or Winantivirus) is downloaded to the pc.

Whats worst is a Zlob could download and install a keylogger on your pc that will log everything you do online, including logging into your bank account or stealing your credit card number.

It’s amazing to see year after year, technological advances that create more compact and multi-function products. Take for instance the all-in-one printer. They print, scan, copy, fax, and even have slots to insert your digital camera memory card to store or print pictures.

I remember starting out with a laser printer before there was a consumer ink-jet model. Then I bought a thermal fax machine to primarily send out documents that needed my signature. I had to have a scanner to copy faxes because fax machines back then made lousy copies and they were in grayscale. So, you woke up this morning, turned on Good Morning America on your new HDTV you bought yourself for Christmas, grabbed a steaming cup of coffee, and started perusing your mail. At first it’s just a musing, but by the time you get home from work it’s a roaring thunder. Once you’ve finally snuggled up next to your sweet booboos on the couch watching There Will Be Blood, it’s almost unbearable. Would this really be that much better if you were watching it on a Blu-Ray PC Drive?
