Back in 1999, The American Film Institute came out with the listing of the top 50 actors from the annals of American Films. These actors are from the launch and the golden times of Hollywood. Many of today's actors may have more ability and they may be better actors but these fine actors will always be remembered.

The catalog starts out with the legendary Humphrey Bogart. Humphrey Bogart acted in 75 films first in the 1930's and up to the 1950's. His most distinguished role was doubtless the part of Rick Blaine in one of the most popular films of all times, "Casablanca". He was born on Christmas day, December 25, 1899. He passed away on January 14, 1957 from cancer of the esophagus.

Coming in at the number 2 spot is Cary Grant. Born Archibald Alexander Leach on January 18, 1904 and departed on November 29, 1986. The number 3 spot on the listing goes to Jimmy Stewart, who is still seen every year at Christmas for the beloved classic "It's a Wonderful Life".

Marlon Brando, Jr. Born April 3, 1924 and passed on July 1, 2004 comes in at number 4 on the record. He is followed by Fred Astaire, born Frederick Austerlitz on May 10, 1899 and deceased June 22, 1987. Fred Astaire's stage and silver screen career spanned a entirety of seventy-six years. During that time he finished thirty-one musical films. He made 10 movies with the partner with whom he was most often linked, Ginger Rogers.

Number six on the list is Henry Fonda, born May 16, 1905, died August 12, 1982. Henry is followed at number 7 by Clark Gable, whose most renowned character was the renowned "Rhett Butler" in "Gone With the Wind", which when accounting for inflation is the most money-making motion picture of all time.

Number eight on the listing is James Cagney. Following that is Spencer Tracy at the number nine spot. Spencer Tracy and the number one actress on the AFI list, Katharine Hepburn were one of the most flourishing movie pairings in Hollywood history. They also had a extended romance off-screen.

The top ten list is rounded out by the only actor from the silent film period. Charlie Chaplin began his career in 1916 before talking films. He did not have his first true "talking" motion picture until 1940 with "The Great Dictator".

Of course, beloved actors, actresses and movies are always personal. Each one has a diverse estimation on what is perceived as best. But the listing of the top stars does consist of the players who made their mark on film history.

Halo has always been the Xbox's flagship game, and so it's comes as no surprise that after we "finished the fight" in Halo 3, Bungie and Microsoft have found a way to take us back to the Halo universe. The new game, Halo: ODST (Orbital Drop Shop Trooper, if you're interested) does at least promise some new ideas.

The first surprise is that Master Chief is nowhere to be found - the helmeted icon is not your character in Halo: ODST. Instead you play a rookie soldier, and unsurprisingly the game starts in a drop ship, preparing for the next drop. After a brief intro, your drop on a Covenant ship goes wrong, with your pod seeming to break and you fall to what must be your demise. Only to awake alone hours later, alone.

The game then becomes a search for the missing hours, playing the rookie and the rest of the team through a series of flashbacks. It's a lot more varied than previous Halo games, and certainly creates an engaging story. One thing gamers will notice in Halo: ODST is that as you play as a human rather than a Spartan (the amped up Master Chief character is a Spartan), the character is slower and can't jump as far.

The campaign mode for Halo: ODST also shows off another big change since Halo 3, namely the graphics. It's a noticeable improvement, and one Bungie puts down to being able to use an existing engine and concentrate on the details rather than the technology. Whatever the reason, it's one of Halo 3's flaws rectified.

Halo: ODST wouldn't be a Halo game without multiplayer though, and while it uses the Halo 3 mode for competitive games, Halo: ODST does have a new collaborative mode. Named Firefight, it will be familiar to gamers who have played Gears of War 2's Horde mode, as it sees four of you taking on wave after wave of Covenant forces and just trying to stay alive for as long as possible.

Still, while Horde always felt like defensive play, Halo: ODST at least starts out with the feeling that you are on the attack, and you can rack up decent points by playing offensively.

If you like teaming up for some gaming, then Halo: ODST's Firefight mode is a great experience. Having played it, there's no doubt that the seven lives shared among you and your team mates can quickly run out.

As always with Xbox 360 games, there's the question of downloadable content. Originally Bungie claimed there were no plans for Halo: ODST DLC, but having seen the box for Halo: ODST, there is a listing for downloadable content, which indicates that there will be extras, probably the form of map packs.

Halo: ODST is set for release exclusively on the Xbox 360 in September 2009. It has been developed by the original developers of Halo, Bungie and will be published by Microsoft. The anticipation is that it will be a worldwide success for the Xbox 360, and once you've played it, there's no reason to believe otherwise.

There's no better way to stick your neck out that coming up with a top 10 "anything" list. It just gets worse when you talk about combat sports like boxing, kickboxing or mixed martial arts. However, here it is, my top 10 list of heavyweight MMA fighters on the planet.

I need to tell you that when I decided to write down my top 10 list, I didn't think it would take too long. I believed that I could easily pick 10 fighters that were heads and shoulders above the pack. It wasn't that easy. I'm sure that there will be a lot of people who disagree with my picks, but isn't that the point, to start a discussion of who's the best and who is just there for a paycheck?

The 5th best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world.

This was the toughest position to choose, really there could be 4 or 5 guys tied for this position, but I needed to choose one and it was Mark "The Hammer" Coleman. Mark Coleman was one of MMA's pioneers, he established ground and pound as a valid MMA skill. In fact, Mark is still one of the most intense fighters in the game. Unfortunately his submission skills (both offensive and defensive) have not improved enough to be competitive with the top fighters in the world.

The 4th best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world

Rashad Evans is my pick for fighter number 9. Rashad is still relatively new to the fight game and his natural athletic ability is as good as it gets. With time Rashad will move much closer to the head of the pack, but for now, congratulations Rashad on your success and making it to the list!

The 3rd best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world

Brandon "The Truth" Vera is certainly one of the most exciting heavyweight fighters in the UFC right now and I was tempted to put him in the top 5. However, he needs to beat a more substantial fighter than Frank Mir. While I have the utmost respect for Frank Mir, it's apparent to me that he's not the same fighter that he was before his accident. I believe that Brandon will be top 5 on next years list. He's one quality win away from that (in my eyes).

The 2nd best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world

Tim Silvia is the UFC's heavyweight champion. Why is he only ranked #7, the only explanation I have is that I've never personally met anyone who likes to watch Tim Silvia fight. He keeps on winning, but I'm never impressed with his performances. Sorry Tim, that's the way it is, you sit at number seven and if you don't start winning fights in a more crowd agreeable manner, I'm afraid you'll drop off the top 10 entirely.

The 1st best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world

It might surprise you that I put former K-1 fighter Mark Hunt in the top 10. It should surprise you that I put him above Tim Silvia, but I have my reasons. Last year Mark Hunt beat Mirko Cro Cop (by a very close decision) and he also held strong with Fedor Emelianenko, even on the ground, in the most recent Pride event.

Down in the Delta: With her life a mess and essentially no desiere to work, lone mother Woodard boards the bus with her 2 kids to spend the summer in the Mississippi Delta, living with family members and worlking in their restaraunt. Episodic drama recoups from awkward start to better points for utter likability. Woodard beams and Freeman gives one of the best acting jobs of his career. The King and I: Phenomenal film adaptation of Rodgers and Harnmerstein Broadway musical, based on novel filmed in 1946 as Anna and the Baron of Siam (and redid as Anna and the Emperor). Kerr plays widowed English schoolteacher who voyages to Siam to instruct the Baron's numerous kids, and finds handling His Highness her best test. Brynner gives the acting job of a generation, and was rewarded with an Oscar reconstructing his Broadway role. Kerr is charming and her harmonizing voice was dubbed by Marni Nixon. Melodies contain "Hello, Youthful Lovers," "Getting to Know You," "Shall We Dance." Cast includes Deborah Kerr, Yul Brynner, Rita Moreno, Martin Benson, Terry Saunders, Rex Thompson, and Alan Mowbray. (133 minutes, 1956)

Marie Antoinette: Visually sumptuous account of an adolescent's voyage from Vienna to the Palace at Versailles and the throne of France. Starts to tire eventually and ends with a cry, not a smash although there's much to like here. Until recently, in order to save a file that you had on your computer, you had to download it onto one of those big, bulky floppy disks. Then you had to find a safe place to store that big, bulky floppy disk. Some place where it wouldn't get scratched or dented or demagnetized. And if you really wanted to be safe, you had to backup the floppy disk onto another floppy...and find a safe place to store THAT floppy.

Enter the USB flash drive. Consisting of a flash memory data storage device with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface, these drives are generally portable, removable and rewritable. Most weigh only an ounce or two and they take up much less space than a floppy disk. And they can easily be stored on a keyring, in a pocket or right on your desk.

USB flash drives have many advantages over other portable storage devices. The main advantage being that they're smaller and more compact, making them easier to store and transport. Their size, and the fact that they have no moving parts, make them more durable and reliable and allow them to operate at a much faster speed and hold more data than those old floppy disks. And their storage capacities can range from 64 MB to 256 GB and more.

A USB flash drive basically consists of just a small printed circuit board, inside a plastic, metal, or rubberized case, with a USB connector attached. The connector is usually protected by retracting or it's covered by a removable cap. These can easily be plugged in to any USB port on your computer for instant access to your own personal files. There are even multi-ports available, if you're a die-hard flashdriver, so you can hook up more than one USB at a time!

The simple design and inexpensive materials allow manufacturers to produce some really great, really cheap USB drives. For less than the price of lunch, you can find some unique flash drives that will allow you to carry your personal files with you at all times. Never leave home without it...and never leave it laying around the office, either.
