What’s Exactly E-mail Encryption?

Email encryption is a term that refers to the encryption as well as the authentication of email or electronic mail messages. Most commonly, email encryption is designed to rely on what is known as public key cryptography. There are a number of popular protocols that are used for the purpose of email encrypted service, the most notable of which are mail session encryption, identity based encryption, Open PGP encryption, TLS encryption and S/MIME encryption.

- Mail Session Encryption - This involves using a STARTTLS SMTP extension, which is a TLS layer that is on top of an SMTP connection. It is capable of protecting mail traffic from being sniffed while it is being transmitted, but this does not actually involve encrypting the actual email because the content inside the email messages is capable of being revealed to, and thusly tampered with, by the email relays that are involved. The encryption, then, actually occurs between the individual SMTP relays rather than between the individual sender and recipient. When both of the relays offer support for STARTTLS, then it is capable of being used regardless of whether or not another protocol is being used to encrypt the contents of the email.

- Identity Based Encryption is a form of public key cryptography that is designed and implemented to use unique information regarding the identity of the user such as their email address as the public key. The public key may also be a text value such as the domain name or name or its associated IP address for example.

- Open PGP - PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy, and Open PGP is a computer program designed to provide cryptographic privacy as well as authentication. It is often utilized for the purpose of signing, decrypting or encrypting emails in order to increase the level of security for email communication.

- TLS - TLS stands for Transport Layer Security, and it is the successor to Secure Sockets Layer or SSL. These are cryptographic protocols designed to provide data integrity and security for network communications such as through the internet. There are a number of different versions of these protocols that see wide spread use including web browsing, internet faxing, electronic mail, VoIP and instant messaging.

- S/MIME - S/MIME is an acronym that stands for Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions, and this is a standard that is used for signing email and public key encryption of email that is encapsulated in MIME.

A Private Email Network, PEN is a secure pathway that employs highly effective encrypted email solution, without requiring complex programs, certificates or servers. Secure messages use existing e-mail address and can be created and read in any systems. Email2 is a business communication platform that enables security for your organization and creates a Private Email Network

Each of these email encryption protocols, mail session encryption, identity based encryption, Open PGP encryption, TLS encryption and S/MIME encryption are used for different purposes and some apply not only to email encryption but also to other types of encryption including internet browsing and instant messaging encryption depending on the method and mode of communication.

All call centers have some commonalities- they are fast paced; they are busy, noisy and require multi-tasking. Most obviously, they sound like a lot of talking. What you may not hear is the listening. In a open source call center environment, listening skills are priority. As an agent, if you cannot hear what the caller is saying, you cannot proceed effectively in the call. Whether it is a complaint or a thank you, the customer is providing you with the necessary information to be successful and to make your department successful. Demonstrate your listening skills along with the following in an interview and you are sure to be offered the position.

Individual skills: Patience and tolerance will be a required skill for every call that you take. For an interview, especially in a complaint center environment, be prepared to give examples of a particularly trying situation, how you were able to smooth the situation and calm the customer to promote effective communication.

Problem solving or resolution skills may be the main focus of your duties. Again, examples of a particularly difficult situation and how you were able to resolve it shows the prospective employer that you already possess and utilize this skill. Be sure to stress in your example that you were able to satisfy the customer within the guidelines of the company. This way the interviewer is at ease that you are able to negotiate and will not readily 'give away the store' to get out of a difficult situation.

Team skills: You may realize the importance of communication skills when taking a call, but communication skills are an equally important part of working as a team. There are differences in the way people communicate. Your job here is to determine the best way to relay information or request assistance to or from a co-worker. This may require learning whether a contact prefers a phone call or an email or the best time of day to reach them.

When possible, it is advisable to be able to provide to a prospective employer documentation of previous accomplishments. These should be easy to obtain from current or prior employers. Most call centers have a method of tracking productivity for individual employees and can include this in a letter of recommendation. They may have information such as punctuality and time logs, the number of calls taken, average length of the calls, etc. If individual information is not available, ask for departmental statistics to show the effectiveness of the team that you were part of.

The ability to multi-task cannot be stressed enough. Call center environments almost always include more duties than answering the phone. Additional tasks may include providing verifications for the caller or others in your team, completing paperwork, or documenting the details of the call. Explain to you interviewer environments in which you have been required to perform a number of tasks simultaneously.

In a call center environment, it is easy to feel that it is just you and the customer and sort-of zone out the rest of the department activity. In fact, this is a skill, and a useful one to have. It is important in such a busy environment to be able to remain focused. Care should be taken not to lose site of the fact that you are part of a team who is working together for a common cause. Always be available and willing to pitch in and help a co-worker or to pick up the slack somewhere else. Show this willingness and the above skills to your interviewer and they will see you as the perfect fit for the job.

Considering an MCSE? It's very possible then that it's likely you'll come into one of two categories: You are a knowledgeable person and you need to formalise your skill set with an MCSE. Instead this might be your initial foray into commercial IT, and you've discovered there's a huge demand for men and women who are commercially qualified.

As you discover more about computer training companies, ensure that you stay away from those who reduce their out-goings by not providing the latest Microsoft version. This is no use to the trainee their knowledge will be of outdated MCSE course material which isn't in line with the present exams, so it will make it very difficult for them to pass. Don't be pushed into a course for MCSE before you feel comfortable. Look for a computer training company that will ensure you are on the most suitable training path for your requirements.

Often, trainers provide piles of reference manuals and workbooks. It's not a very interesting way to learn and not ideal for studying effectively. We see a huge improvement in memory retention when multiple senses are involved - educational experts have expounded on this for many years.

The latest audio-visual interactive programs featuring instructor demo's and practice lab's will beat books every time. And you'll actually enjoy doing them. Don't take any chances and look at some of the typical study materials provided before you sign on the dotted line. The minimum you should expect would be instructor-led video demonstrations and a variety of audio-visual and interactive sections.

Often, companies will only use purely on-line training; sometimes you can get away with this - but, consider how you'll deal with it when you don't have access to the internet or you get intermittent problems and speed issues. It is usually safer to have DVD or CD discs that will not have these problems.

Remember: the training program or a certification is not what you're looking for; the career that you want is. Far too many training organisations put too much weight in the piece of paper. It's quite usual, for instance, to thoroughly enjoy one year of training only to end up putting 20 long years into a career that does nothing for you, simply because you did it without the correct research at the outset.

Never let your focus stray from where you want to go, and create a learning-plan from that - don't do it the other way round. Stay on target and ensure that you're training for a career that'll reward you for many long and fruitful years. Always seek guidance and advice from a skilled advisor, even if you have to pay - as it's a lot cheaper and safer to find out at the start whether you've chosen correctly, rather than realise after two full years that you aren't going to enjoy the job you've chosen and have to return to the start of another program.

It's so important to understand this key point: You absolutely must have proper 24x7 instructor and mentor support. You'll severely regret it if you let this one slide. Look for training where you can access help at any time you choose (even if it's early hours on Sunday morning!) Ensure you get access directly to professional tutors, and not a message system as this will slow you down - waiting for tutors to call you back when it's convenient for them.

Keep looking and you'll come across professional companies who recommend and use online support at all times - including evenings, nights and weekends. Never make do with less than you need and deserve. Support round-the-clock is the only way to go for IT training. Maybe late-evening study is not your thing; usually though, we're at work during the provided support period.

Potential Students hopeful to begin an Information Technology career normally aren't sure which route to follow, or even which sector to achieve their certification in. I mean, if you have no know-how of IT in the workplace, what chance is there for you to know what some particular IT person actually does day-to-day? Let alone decide on which accreditation path would be most appropriate for success. Often, the key to unlocking this dilemma correctly flows from an in-depth chat, covering a number of areas:

Technology and IT is one of the more exciting and ground-breaking industries that you can get into right now. Being up close and personal with technology is to do your bit in the gigantic changes shaping life over the next few decades. There are people who believe that the technological revolution that's been a familiar part of our recent lives is lowering its pace. This couldn't be more wrong. Terrific advances are ahead of us, and the internet in particular will become an increasingly dominant part of our lives.

A standard IT worker in the UK has been shown to receive significantly more than fellow workers in another industry. Mean average wages are some of the best to be had nationwide. Demand for certified IT specialists is certain for many years to come, because of the continuous increase in this sector and the huge skills gap that we still have.

The Hex: Performer Keith steps behind the camcorder to direct this down-home terror film. A lethal meteorite lands on a Tennessee farm, genuinely driving the people insane after contaminating their food.
